I have a guest mbx (6800), can it light the MWI light of an existing extension (6400)?

I have set up extension 6800 as a phantom extension with a mailbox for the attendant to have her own mailbox. I would like the message waiting light on extension 6400 to indicate she has a message. I know I can do it with a group mailbox, but I can't figure out how to do it with a mailbox other than the one for that extension. Any thoughts?

Ahh, "mbx" as in "mailbox" as in an abbreviation too far.

If the guest is using just the mailbox and no switch function, you could set them up a hunt group in the first place. Depends on the voicemail your using, off the top of my head very little difference between group and user mailbox when leaving/collecting messages except reception number setting.

Thank you for the suggestion, but the other issue as that she forwards her phone at lunch, and when she does the HG mbx won't answer, it says that no operators are available.

Turn of call queing on the hunt group mailbox & mnake sure you do not have an overflow time set. this will then drop straight to vm when noone is available

Sorry, do you mean that the guest is also actual extension user rather than just a mailbox ~ if so I'll have to ponder some more.
