I have about 12 users accessing an ACCESS 97 database. Two of the users are receiveing the message "You and another user have attempted to access the same data." These two users receive this message as soon as they try to access the database. I need a solution ASAP. I've re-booted the server and the client machines.

Muti User lockout in ACESS 97

Are they part of the workgroup? One may be signed in as admin and/or opened exclusively. Have they changed their options, they need to have their default open mode to shared and the default record locking to edited record. These are under tools, options and I believe the advanced tab. We've since updated to 2000, but I remember fixing this because I dealt with three remote sites getting the same problem. Good luck
