Make you sound Flash file and when inserting it into the page set it to play automaticly on load. Good Luck! 
I totally agree with jimoblak, some websites can be really annoying when they automatically start playing some terrible music which you are then unable to switch off, giving users the choice would be a good idea, or at least make sure there is a clear button to switch the music off.

This site/page uses QuickTime to play music which I found not the best solutions - I only installed QuickTime a week ago so if I visited this site let's say 2 weeks ago I wouldn't be able to here the sound...
As statistics says more than a half of all Internet users have QuickTime installed when Flash have more that 97% of the users. That's why I suggest to use (when it's really needed) Flash to playback the music... Good Luck!

Yeh, Nippi, fully agree! Visitors must have tools to start/stop playing music
By the way, where are you now? Country, ciy? Why I'm asking - I'm in Prague, CZ, and it's only 7:40 in the morning. So if you are in the States now it should be toooo early in the morning))) Good Luck!

I'm on way way to the beach to run my dogs and have a swim.
I start at 7.30 and generall work on and off till 11pm Its my work and recreation. Yes, I do other things, I go clubbing, surf, play golf... I've got two kids that keep me busy.
CZ? DO you do much local work or get outsourced work? Most of my work comes from Aus, but from big cities, not my little beachside village.
BTW did you get your MM certification? Is so, has it made a difference to your life...

I couldn't even imagine you are from Australia I've got a friend of mine living in Sydney.
I envy you going to the beach... We have no sea here in the Czech Republic :-( And moreover it's getting colder and colder each day... And no surfing for sure, only parting and clubbing
I've been extremely bisy for the last year with my own project and those projects I had during this time were local. But now I'm planning to get outsorced work.
And no MM certification yet (I'm also preparing for CIW as well) because of the lack of time. I don't really think it may change my life greatly, only to hang certificates up on the wall so my customers may see it and be confident.
And BTW I'm Russian even that I'm living in the Czech Republic.
