We would like to implement music on hold or while the caller is parked. At one time this feature was functional. The terminal that we had the cd player hooked up to was TN 3 3. It has been a few years since we have used this due to the fact that the cd player shelled out. I am now trying to connect an MP3 player to the TN but we receive no sound when placed on park or on hold. When I stat the TN card it shows that the TN is IDLE with 3 3 (TRK) (MUS OWK) Is there anywhere else in the system that I should check to make sure that this is still turned on? Could it be possible that the MP3 does not have enough output power to run the audio through the PBX? Option 11c

Put a but set on the TN 3 3 do you hear music ? ? ? It might be you may need an amplifier. But also check your route,s, ACD's, & CDN's you have to tell them where your music route is. Also when you print out the music route what is the access code pick up a phone dial the access code you should hear the music that way as well.

How would I print out the music route to find the access code? I am not very familiar with printing ACDs and CDNs. In the meantime I will do some testing with the butt set. Thanks!

To print the RDB first go to LD 21 and LTM
This will display all routes and trunks, find the Music route Number. Now in LD 21 PRT, RDB, entering the Route number, and the ACOD XXXX will be the access code you can dial to test your music.

ROUT 10 for the Music with ACOD of 7710. When I pickup and dial 7710 it immediately rings busy.

Change your phone TGAR to 5, dial 7710 and you should hear music. If not, your music is not working.

I agree with DJ4020 - best way to trouble shoot is with a but set.

Start with leads from MPS player - if you don't hear music from there, you never will on PBX.

Also remember that the TN 3.3 on a universal trunk card would be the 7th or Rd/Or pair on block. If block labled 0 thru 15 would be 6.

Thanks Reusser & DJ4020! I was plugging into the 4th slot as I would a regular analog trunk card. That could be mistake #1. Thanks to both of you for your help. I will let you know what I find Monday.

Works perfectly! I had plugged into the wrong port. Thanks for your support!
