Hi there. I have a networked site going in shortly based on an 8720 solution with G250 / G350 / G700 gateways in remote sites. I have a total of 157 sites going to be implemented and they require a different music source for each of these 157 sites. From my reading I believe that there are only 100 MOH sources available in an 8720 solution, although I may be wrong about that.

If anyone could advise whether this is correct would be great, and if so any suggestion as to how to go about doing this would be appreciated. The reason for the different sources is that for each of the 157 sites they require a music source / announcement which plays local based advertising relevant to that site.

At this stage the solution is PBX with no call centre component. Ideas most welcome.

Regards

Richard

I'm not sure on the 100 music source limit - sorry but I had to jump in with my $0.02

If you have calls queuing, you could setup one music source at your main site then in the vector play local announcements for the remote sites. This would save you money as long as you can live without an announcement board at each site, which would pose a problem if you lost connectivity (assuming these are all LSP's). The vendor you are buying all the equipment from should also be able to help you with the 100 MOH limit question too. You should get their answer in writing before buying.

I use the Avaya Magic on Hold devices they are inexpensive and can play MP3's, they connect to the PC to drag/drop music files - takes a second then you're done.

Ok thanks for your responses. I think the easiest way to do this will be to use MOH groups with the val boards for each gateway placed into the group. The announcements can be different on each VAL board and as long as they have the same name the announcement from the closest source will play to the caller on hold.

A lot easier than setting up 157 different analogue sources which cant be done anyway.

Thanks

Richard

RFLundgren,

yes, audio groups with moh off announcement boards is possible solution, but be warned: thread690-1265090.
