Hello All-

My network has been up and running for sometime w/ a single WAN address. We requsted for additional WAN addresses for servers we want exposed, i.e polycom teleconferance, web server, data collection server etc...

The way I understand this I am using the orginal WAN address to answer at its address plus the address pool assigned to us.

Configuration:
WAN1 IP from ISP
IP: x.x.116.204
MSK: 255.255.255.224
GW: x.x.116.1

IP Pool from ISP
IP: x.x.117.113 - x.x.117.118
MSK: 255.255.255.248

I've not none this type of setup before where my WAN IP and IP Pool are on different subnets.

Typically I get an address pool and everything is on the same network and I add multiple WAN addresses to my router and point them to the none-puplic address behind the router, i.e servers, etc.

Can someone explain if/how this is possable to configure. Im using a Cisco PIX router and 2650 swx.

Firstly, not to be pedantic, a pix is a lot of things but not a router.

Anyway as long as your teleco is routing properly it should not be a problem. They will route the x.x.117.113/29 to your pix, then you can do as you please with the addresses, ie NAT.
