Multiple users of database 1

I have a database with multiple users. Someone has gone in and changed something that will now only allow one person at a time to be in the database. How can I get it back to multiple users using the database at the same time:

That depends on what's been changed. Did you check to see if the dbase is still shared?....."tools" "options" "advanced" "shared"?

Obviously there are many possible causes. This would be my GUESS about your problem-

I suspect that this database includes a security system using .mdw files. One of the permission settings is "open exclusive". If that has been activated for certain users, then people will not be able to share the database.

Hopefully, my guess is incorrect. The Access security system is hard to understand, and it works imperfectly. You may have trouble finding good information about it.
