I am going to be running my database on a several terminals on the network.
I need to know how to have the data refreshing everytime one of the users enters a field.
I would also like to be able to have some sort of log-on, so that a certain user is made aware of new entries.
Scenario:
Call centre for problem logging enters the problems, as does the problem coordinator.
When the call-centre enters problems the coordinator must be made aware that a new record has been entered from the call-centre's pc.
Any ideas?

It would partially depend on the extent of the problem. IF it only concerns the Coordinator, you could place a timer function in the app. But only activate it if thr log-on is the coordinator. The time event would check the condition at each interval, when true, activae a modless form with a message.

You coould probably 'get away' with checking on 15 to 30 second interval.

The only altrenative I can come up w/ at the moment probably invloves a callback function w/ API references. I'm sure I couldn't do it 'off the top'.
