Is there a way to set up an XP pro machine to accept two different remote sessions running at the same time? And if Remote Desktop can't do this, anyone know of a program that can?

Multiple User Sessions In Remote Desktop

The XP Remote Desktop client cannot do this, it is featured only with the MS Win2k and Windows 2003 Terminal Services Server.
I know VNC can do this with at least two of the flavors I have tried. cf.,for example RealVNC:
