I have two tables. one for clients and one for staff. none of the data is yet in anyway linked. i would like a query that will order both sets of data according to their date of birth in one query. as you may have noticed, i am a real novice so any help would be appreciated : )
thanks

Can you please post the tables's structure, some input samples and expected result ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

basically i need to generate a birthday list. both tables contain personal info. i can easily do a query for one table, but i would like to have both clients and staff on the one the list. at the moment i am trying to make a relationship between client IDs and staff IDs (all of which are unique) but get stuck at that point. a friend of mine suggested a union query, but this looks pretty tricky. might that be a solution to my problem? thanks for the quick reply PHV.

Take a look at UNION query.
