Multiple subroutines NOT executed simultaneously with VB5 1

Hello,

I have a VB application that uses DDELinks to monitor five (5) items and triggers respective subroutines when the item value changes from 0 to 1 (using the 'Change' procedure of the objects - item1, item2....item5)

When 2 or more items change values at the same instance, one or more subroutine(s) does not trigger. Has anyone run into a similar problem, and/or does anyone of you have any suggestions to solve this problem?

The VB5 app is being run on a Windows 2000 Pro platform.

VB by nature is single threaded so in short only one (the first) event will fire and only until its done with what ever processing there is will it respond to the next one in que or if there is no que or its ignored then the next event. Meaning that you could loose events. Which brings me up to suggesting using multiple processes to monitor each of your events (multiple programs) or if you can make use of MSMQ.
