Is it considered good practice to combine several individual scripts into one large one when they are for the same project?

I have recently created some payment interfaces to a well known payment site and the company supplied some bare bones scripts for the individual functions. Maintaining the numerous scripts is proving fifficult.

could you not wrap the scripts into a 'payments' module?

Once you get past a critical mass in your main program breaking it into "modules" makes sense. It also can make sense to combine smaller scripts into one larger script. But I don't know of any clearly defined rule that can be applied to all programs in general. Trust your own judgement.
