I have recieved emails from sites i have subscribed to and was wondering how they send them without showing who the other recipents are. I am trying to setup the same kind of thing, a monthly email to clients. thanks in advance

Have you thought about using the BCC field? You can put as many different addresses in there as you like, and none of the receipients will be able to see any other.

Regards,

Ian

I don't want to use the BCC field. The ones i recieve have the address "Monthly email" in the "to" field.

OK but how do you know that Monthly email isn't a dummy account with the correct email adresses in BCC?

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!

Or perhaps Monthly email is a distribution list.

is this how i should do it. Should i create a dummy account and just BCC to the others i want to recieve the email

Yes, the dummy address named 'monthly email' or whatever should contain your own e-mail address. Put everyone else in the BCC: field. If any of your recipients replys to the message, the reply will be sent to you.
