Is there an easy way to pass the same parameters to multiple queries ? The parameters are prompted for in query one, and then used in ten other queries - at the moment each time a new query starts, Access reprompts for the parameters.
I know I can get round this by writing the SQL in a VBA module and getting the parameters at the beginning, I just wondered if there were any other ways using the queries. (I also know you could do it by putting the parameters in a temporary table - but that doesn't seem too elegant)

Dan Auber
DanAuber@aol.com
<a href= Auber's Home Page
when you are saying "parameters" i'm assuming you're using the criteria in your queries to limit the returned records, is this correct?
i'm also assuming that you mean that all ten queries are using the same criteria and therefore prompting for the same parameters.
instead, for queries 2-10, why not have their criteria simply reference query 1's fields?

ie.
for Field1 of Query2 put in the criteria:
=[queries]![Query1]![Field1]

is this what you're looking for?
Brian Famous
bfamous@ncdoi.net
