Multiple Network Cards

Hi,

I have a scenario where i have a Catalyst 4506 with a 48 port gigabit module, and some servers (HP) with 2 gigabit NICs. What we are wanting to do is bind the NICs together and configure the 4506 so that each server has a 2gb connection to the switch.

Trouble is, I have no idea where to start. What commands do i need to make this work on the cisco.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest 802.3ad LACP link aggregation. It is industry standard. Howeverm you need to make sure that your server's NICs support this type of functionality. This link gives you more than you probably ever wanted to know about it:
