Hey all,

I'm running 6 concurrent instances of Monitor to log each of my 6 sites on the SCN. It appears that while Avaya has provided details as to how to run multiple instances (copy monitor.exe into a separate directory) it's less than ideal.

After a server reboot I have to open each and reconfigure the switch, log file name/location, and the specific trace filter options for each instance.

Has anyone found a way to streamline this process - via registry entries or something else?

Also, how do you roll over a log file for the VMPro debug program??

Thanks!

why don't you make shortcuts
put them in the startup folder
when you look at the property's you will see the folder(s)
they should have all different folders
they will remember there login and password

Thanks for the advice TLPeter.

I haven't put them in the startup folder because I have not found a way to control each instance... when I open each one up the "default" log file is always set to "siteA.txt" and the switch (regardless of the folder I start it from) is always 172.xx.xx.201. ALL instances open the same switch, and log to the same text file.

I have to login to the switch I want, change the text file, then reset the filter options, and finally roll over the log. It gets pretty time consuming after 6 sites worth.

Maybe I'm missing something?
