IP Office v2, R9.0.1(845)...I've got two locations sharing an IPO system, and each would like their own MOH announcement, or at least one location doesn't want their callers to get the other's MOH message. I know that I can set up the ICR with different internal MOH sources, but what else would need to be done? Add another WAV file to the SD card and call it "holdmusic2.wav" for the 2nd location? Do I just change it on the ICR, or do I have to change it on the specific Hunt Groups as well? And what if the 2nd location doesn't want an actual MOH message, but just wants the default beeps instead?

I realize that all internal and outgoing calls will only get the one MOH message if I remember correctly, but the site is really only worried about incoming calls. Thanks in advance for your help.

You can set the default MOH to none but upload two WAV files to SD card. Define it as additional music sources in Manager (system\telephony\tones).

For inbound define what MOH to use in ICR. For outbound calls create short codes like 9N/Dial/Nh(x)/LineGrpID where x is for the number of the music source you defined earlier.

IPO Knowledgebase said:
Telephone Number Field Characters

h - Hold Music Source When used as part of the short code telephone number field, this character allows the source for music on hold to be selected. Enter h(X)where X is 1 to 4 indicating the required hold music source if available. This overrides any previous hold music selection that may have been applied to the call. When used with ParkCall shortcodes, the h(X) should be entered before the park slot number part of the telephone number.

Thanks for the reply. What if one side wants nothing to play on the outbound calls? Do you just leave X there?

So, assuming that one side is MOH source 2 and ICR/LG 0, the short code should look like this:

Code - 9N
Feature - Dial
Telephone Number - Nh(2)
Line Group ID - 0

Would that be correct?
