Two question:

I've asked this one before, but never really got a straight answer. Can I have two dial-in modems for remote administration? We have the one on the AUX pair, but I want to add a second. We have two full-sized cabinets, and there is a second AUX port, can that be used? Can I hook up a modem to the Terminal port on the second cabinet?

Second question, I just put a C-LAN board in. We have the additional functionality, however we were told we can do an ODBC connection to the switch through the C-LAN board. How do we accomplish this?

Thanks for any help!!!!

Steve

Answer to question 1: Yes with a null modem cable.

Answer to question 2: Your PBX needs to be R9 or higher to use the C-LAN board. It is set up through the command change ip-services. The service to set up is SAT.

So if I get a null-modem cable and hook up an external USRobotics modem, I can attach to the Terminal port in the second cabinet? Is there any speed issues? What is the max speed I can get out of that port? 9600?

I have R9, and the C-LAN board works for administering the switch through the ASA client... But how do I set up a ODBC connection to it through SQL? I want to be able to export call data and such to a SQL database.

Thanks!
