Multiple logons for one user in Security Event viewer

Some users logging on to our NT domain show up multiple times in the security event logs. For instance, when User A logs on, the logs may show 4 or 6 records for this person, while User B may only show up once when logging on. What causes this?

This could be from mapping network shares, printers, and services that might start under that UserID.
