Here's my problem:
I have a W2000 Server that runs SQL2000 server as database for my web server (on another machine). I've prepared a copy of my server to prevent any problems, but i'd want that my backup server responds without reconfiguring the web server: I've tried to assign an alternate IP address to my 2nd machine (that is the same of the 1st), but the system gave me a warning (as I expected).
How can tell W2000 to take the alternate IP address only if the 1st server is down?
Thanks for any suggestions.
