Hello All,
I want to add multiple sources for our external sntp source. I know how to do it but what I don't know is if SNTP will compare each of these servers to come up with the best time. OR is it just for redundancy? Also I do I make sure that the source is indeed working?

There's no real need to compare times, only to have it available for purposes of redundancy. As far as Windows goes, there are a lot of services that check the time (for replication schedules, kerberos authentication, etc), but having the "correct time" isn't nearly as important as having the clocks on all of your client and servers synchronized (accounting for time zones as needed). As long as you have a single authoritative time server on your network (or multiple servers polling the same external source) then there shouldn't be any technical issues.

I agree but I'm not the one who wants it. Anyway, thanks for responding. How can I test the time server to make sure I'm getting a response from it?
