Hi all

I have been using the event log connection in cr9 to a server, this works well.

My thought is : I want 1 report to connect to lots of servers event logs. The only way i can think of doing this is to create 1 report for each server then insert each one in as a sub report.....

Can you point me in the right direction if I’m off the mark or there is an easier way you can think of

Cheers

Paul

You could create a program to read these event logs and append the interesting records to a single table.

If you are not comfortable doing this using tools other than Crystal, then there's at least one 3rd-party Report Manager (see list at that lets you schedule an export of Crystal report data to a table in an ODBC database (e.g., Access, SQL Server, ...). In your case, you would schedule several reports, one for each server, all appending to the same table. Each report would include a formula providing the server name. Another report would then use the data in the resulting table.
