I have 2 diffent email acounts, work and personal. I would like to send and receive both easily from my laptop. I seem to be able to receive from both at my office, on the road or at home. Where I get into trouble is when I try to send from a particular account, i.e. sending a work email from home or sending personal mail from my office. Any thoughts on how to make sending as simple as receiving?

thank you!

Check your smtp settings and make sure they are accurate-
Correct servername, no misspellings.

Also, some isps do not allow you to use 3rd party smtp mailservers.
Make sure this is not the issue.

I have had this problem in the past.

This is most likely due to the fact you're dialing up using one ISP account and trying to send using the SMTP service of the other ISP.

For security reasons, ISP's usually don't allow you to send using the SMTP service of another ISP.

In essence, you'll need to connect to the ISP with which you intend to send your e-mail with. E.g., to send a work e-mail, connect to the ISP with which you hold the work account.
