Hi

I'm using Exchange 5.5 on a W2K server and the client PCs are all W2K Pro with Outlook 2000 as the mail client.

One sent an email on September 26th. Since then, he has been getting irate emails back from the person he sent the original email to as the email is getting delivered time and time again. However, nothing may happen for 4 or 5 days and then suddenly 6 copies of the message will arrive at the recipient.

I've checked the queues on the Exchange box and nothing seems untoward there. Someone suggested that there may be a scheduled task on the users PC but I've checked and this isn't the case.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Pete

Have you done any message tracking to see if it's your system that is sending the messages?

Try to get the original messages that the person received so you can check the headers for the message ID.

I'm afraid message tracking wasn't enabled on the Exchange server. Also, the original message has been deleted
