Can I take one table from MS Access 2000 and one table from
other Database and connect them with a ID Key. Both keys will have same data type. Working with Crystal 8.5

In theory, yes you can. But you might have better luck if you create a link within Access to your other database. That way, you could just point Crystal to your Access db, and have access to both tables. Crystal is always much happier working with a single data source.

Thank you Virdu!

Do you mind to explain "create a link within Access to you other database" in little more depth.

I haven't done it in a really long time, but in Access, if you're looking at your list of tables and right click on a blank section of the window, one of your options is 'Link Tables'. It supports many different db types (e.g. another Access db, dBase, Excel, ODBC, etc.). If you need help with that, you can inquire on one of the many Access forums here at Tek-Tips.

Once you've got a link to your other db table in Access, you should be able to see it as an available table in your Access db.

One way you could do this within Crystal is to use a subreport for one of the databases, and link the subreport to the main report on the ID field.

However, if you use Dave's suggestion and do the linking in Access, it will be easier to work with the fields for calculations, etc.
