Hi

We are currently working on CE & CR version 8.5

I have had a request to write a report which works looking at two different databases on two different servers. Both databases have a linkable field (this field as identical in both databases).

Have tried linking 1 table from 1 database and one from the other database and everything is OK. But once you add a second table from either database and have more than one join on a table the report will not work.

Is this something that has been looked at on version 9. (After reading the knowledge base it mentions that multiple database reports are not supported any versions except version 9)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Nipper

Multiple database reports work OK, but you are limited in join types, and it does depend on the database, which you omitted.

I would create a View/Query on the database itself, Crystal isn't the best database engine.

Another alternative is to LINK to the tables within Access and create a Query in there to use as the basis for the report.

Thanks I created a view and it works great.

All the best
