I'm wondering if it is possible to have a user receive mail from multiple addresses without having to create addtional users for those addresses. For example, I might receive mail sent to paul@domain.com and newbie@domain.com, but "paul" is the only NT User.

I don't see a way to add another alias and I tried adding another SMTP address, but it doesn't work. I've got a few department heads that would like to receive mail sent to department@domain.com and I don't want to have to manage a bunch of fake users.

Thanks!

Just add secondary SMTP addresses to the user in ADUC.

Okay - so it did work. More coffee please...

Here's a related question - is there any way to choose which SMTP address is used when sending a message in Outlook? The hard way would be to change the "primary" smtp address, but is there any way to do this from Outlook?

If you have set up more than one mail account in Outlook, you can choose which one to use to send a message a few ways. The easiest, i think, is to choose the account in the New Message window. Just before you click the 'Send' button, look to the right - there should be a button labeled 'Account'. Use this to choose the sender.

If you have not set up multiple accounts, this option is not available.

Helpful?

I don't think you have multiple exchange accounts, can you?
