What do I need to do to set up a 3 column report that will put the header in the left column and two data records in the middle and the right. Then on each successive page I want to repeat the header in the left column and have data in the middle and the right columns.

In other words I would like to transpose the report.

Thx,
Jude

In the report wizard you should have a choice for "columnar" (something like that) Also when you click new for a report there is an option for Columnar auto format. You can also make your own report from scratch and put the lables and fields the way you want them.

I'm not quite sure from your description exactly what you're doing. Dawn's suggestion may be good. Or you may want to make use of subreports to get the different items in columns.

Or you might want to make use of both Dawn's suggestion and subreports. For example, by putting a two column subreport in the right side of a header band, to the right of the one column header info.

There is no simple way to get detail records printing immediately to the right of header info without using subreports. But your header info may not really require being in a header group, either. -- Herb
