Multihomed DNS

What are the feelings about setting a dns server up on a multihomed server. I'm working with a client that has a OS X server with 3 network interfaces.
Whatever they are doing is screwed up (if I nslookup the system on the outside net it returns a 192.168.x.x address!!).

If they want to use this system should I have a zone for each interface? They also have Open Directory running and a VPN server (which are not working correctly).

Any advise appreciated.
