Greetings,
The problem:
I'm working with HP/Compaq iLOs (remote management hardware)that have been added to the W2K Active Directory.
In order to authenticate users connecting to the iLO, you have to tell the iLO the "Directory Server Address", which is the IP address, or the DNS name of a Domain Controller it can connect to and authenticate users via LDAP.
The question:
Setting one "directory server" worries me, as the iLO will not be able to authenticate users if that server becomes unavailable.
Is there some type of DNS record that can resolve to several IP addresses? I had thought of something called "Domain-Servers" that could resolve to any of the Domain Controller IP addresses.
-and yes... I have configured a local user on the iLOs for emergency use in case it is needed
Thanks in advance for the help!
