I just installed RedHat 7.3 (tried Redhat 7.2, 7.1 as well as 8.0 - still same problems) on a couple of new machines, and am having the same problems. First off all, we're using Compaq Evo D510 Covertible Minitower (
The system loaded ok, the GUI login appeared. I loged in as root (tried login as normal users - still the same problems), went into GNOME . Everything was fine. When I log out, the screen goes blank. Nothing ever appears. I can telnet to the system, and it still appears to be running, but I never get the GUI login screen on the console. Same thing happens if I login to KDE...

So, in order for me to get the GUI login appear again is to reboot the machine. Everything else seems to work fine for me, Accept the login GUI.

This is what i got from logs file everytime its happen

Oct 17 01:30:45 localhost kernel: mtrr: no more MTRRs available
Oct 17 01:30:45 localhost last message repeated 119 times

ANy advice....?? Thanks in advanced...
