Getting an getting error - Microsoft jet engine cannot find object, "MSysDb" when opening a Access 97 database in Access 2000. We like to create, modify or delete permissions or object?

Without knowing more about this problem, I would suggest creating a new empty database and import all the objects (with the exception of the system tables, of course) from your original.

Hope that helps. Hopefully, I didn't miss the intention of your question.

All "MSys*" objects are Ms. Access System objects (Tables) used by Ms. Access to organize and control the database. You should [red]NOT[/red] ever modify these directly. They SHOULD all be 'read only'. If you modify any of them, the db will be corrupted and you may not even be able to open it - much less ues it!!!
