MSWORD TAKES 2 TRIES TO OPEN IT

I have a user that sometimes needs to open MsWord attachments twice before she can open them. The first time it gives her an error saying it can't fine the attachment. So she goes back and clicks on it again and it finds it just fine. This happens from both Notes (4.6) when she clicks on an attachment and it happens from the network file server (Novell 4) when she clicks on a file. So it seems it must be an MSWORD issue. We are using NT4 on the workstations and MSWord is from Office 2000.

Odd that it works the second time, it sounds like a problem with the File Association for .doc files.
Check that first.
A drastic solution might be to reinstall Word/Office which will recreate the associations.
