I get this message only when a windows xp machine tries to logon to windows 2000 terminal services.. any reason why?
any kind of update i should download to prevent this?
thanks.

How are you trying to log onto Terminal Services? XP comes with its own connection manager. Also you can download the admin pack for XP from the Microsoft site. I dont think the Terminal Services client connection software built into Windows 2000 Server works with XP. Thats why they have a admin.pak on their website or you can use the one built into XP. There was a patch for IE6
Q323759: August, 2002 Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer 6 (Windows XP)

This patch affected the server, and that is probably why you are having a problem. Ths server has the problem rather than the XP client. The fix which is the first link is to install XP's tsweb client software on your tsac webpage. then the clients will be prompted for a download of the new active x control and the tsac client should work.
A little note to that, is that any client that needs the new active x had to have rights to install the updated control, which may mean a trip to each affected client to log on as admin to allow the active x control to be updated.
