MST Button Trace and the Avaya Web

I was told that you can run your own MST Trace and then download the tool needed from Avaya to read the data from that trace. Apparently you can get this tool from the Avaya Support Web Site but I am having trouble finding it. Anyone know of this and can point me to the link?

Avaya does not provide any tool in the avaya support site to read MST traces. However you can search the internet for the software called "Definity Analyzer" it is free of charge and pretty easy to use. It is a privately contructed MST analyzer tool. It works OK with ISDN BRI-PRI and IP traces..

Avaya media servers have built-in interpreter for MST traces. You can find him on media server web pages under Maintenance>System Logs>Communication Manager's interpreted Message Tracer (MTA)(check box). Also you have to set the number of lines which will be decoded (default is 200). I almost forgot, on MST screen you must turn on following fields prior tracing: Log MST and Trace Analyzer to y.
