We have our backup set to backup two SQL severs at night. Which I thought it was during everynight.

The problem is I went to restore a file from the database today and I could not see the brick for the database.

Does this means My database has not been backup at night?

Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

I'm not using 6.6 anymore... but if memory serves, I had trouble with a restore as well. Seems 6.6 needs to be patched up. There was a problem with the restore. My backup was fine (thank goodness) it just wouldn't restore.

You can log into your SQL server and check to see if the backups are working. Go into the event viewer on the SQL Server, you should see backup records in the application log that correspond to the time that the SQL db was backed up. (Provide your SQL instance does write to the event viewer.)

Also, each db creates a different session on the tape. So, you can look at the backup log in Arcserve to see the db's listed as well.

Good luck,
Debi
