Hi all.
I hope that one of you guys can help me with this.
I have a 2000 server with Routing and remote access, for Internet sharing, over a small network.
One user wants to use the MSN Messenger IP telephony(Voice) function.
I have scouted through the Microsoft knowledge base but without success.
The only thing I found was how to configure windows 2000 ICS (Internet connection sharing) but since i also have dial in users I need to use the Normal Routing and remote access.
Everything else works, users can use the normal Messenger chat, and almost all other internet applications. but MSN messengers Voice function and File transfer says that there is a firewall preventing the usage.
My configuration is a following:
ADSL Ethernet modem connected to Network adaptor "WAN"
ADSL connection has the external IP, and WAN adaptor has 10.0.0.148
Internal network is connected through Adaptor "LAN"
LAN adaptor have IP address> 192.168.0.1
Routing and remote access is set up to link the ADSL to LAN, with NAT.
Users connecting are given IP addresses by DHCP in the range 192.168.0.2->192.168.0.240
The user that needs to use Voice chat has 192.168.0.48, this is a reserved address so it wont change.
How can I enable at least the Voice chat function?
I hope all this is clear, if not let me know and I will try to clarify.
Kind regards.
Brian Levinsen.
