MSFC Card

Hi All
can anyone let me know when we run sh module command on cisco cat6509 with MSFC card y does it shows MSFC card on 15 & 16 Module (If we have 2 MSFCs)??? eventhough we have 9 slots siwtch (6509).

Please explain in details. I m unable to understand this ?

With Hybrid software the MSFC on the Supervisor in slot 1 appears as installed in slot 15. If you have a redundant supervisor (and MSFC) in slot 2 then this appears in slot 16.

You should be able to 'session' to each MSFC:

session 15 or session 16

If you didn't realise you had 2 MSFC's the chances are you are running in Single Router Mode (SRM). Type 'show redundancy states' after sessioning into slot 15. There are some other commands as well but I can't quite remember the exact syntax, but type '?' after the command....
