Recently, I had to change the computer name to both computers of MSCS Windows Cluster. Everything works fine:
1- Change all groups to node A
2- Evict node B
3- Uninstall cluster service from node B
4- Change the computer name on node B
5- Install cluster service node B and join the cluster
6- Change all groups to node B
7- Evict node A
8- Uninstall cluster service from node A
9- Change the computer name on node A
10- Install cluster service node A and join the cluster
Well... Failover and failback is working fine... Evrything seems to be OK, but... I can't see the shared disks through "My PC". I see the disks in "Disk Management", but not in "Explorer". Shared resources in the shared disks are accesible thorugh the network, but I can't see the shared disks locally (on the owner node, of course).
Using dumpcfg, the information reported is the same in both nodes, but with ftdisk, there are some differences between the nodes. In node B (the first reinstalled node), there are some duplicated units (quorum) and some discs/partitions without drive letter.
With dumpcfg, both nodes reports the same signature into the same disk.
