msconfig regedit problem 1

Xp home computer that had a lot of spyware infestation. Spyware appears to be gone but neither msconfig nor regedit will run except in safe mode.

I was able to run in safe mode and unchecked all the bad stuff but it wont let me in otherwise.

I was still infected but the problem was not solved by the link you provided. That problem was not present on this computer.

It ended up being something called BSPlayer.exe. This persistent program constantly reloaded itself. Once removed the problem went away.
