Hi all,

I'm trying to create an install package with InstallSield VFP70. All goes fine, except when installing the application on a PC, the function which uses MSCAL.OCX does not work....it cannot not find the MSCAL.OCX

Which MergeModule do I have to use? I already tried MSCOMCT2.MSM en MSCOMCTL.MSM without succes.
or should I include MSCAL.OCX seperatly? How do I do this?

Thanks in advance for any reply.

Gr,
André

OK, I see also a Microsoft Common Control 3 merge module. I check this out and come back later if no succes.

Thank you for now.

The calendar Activex control, as far as I know comes with Microsoft office, not VFP. I would suggest you include it seperatly.

Beg to differ Mike its part of office professional but it was certainly included in VFP6 -

Iterestingly you could not officially re-distribute mscal.ocx
unless you had a MS Office developers licence however see the following...
Incidentally Andre did ask "should I include MSCAL.OCX seperatly? How do I do this?" !

The most common solution is H2O!

The list of Activex that comes with VFP8.0 (VFP7.0 does not show this list) longer lists mscal.ocx as a component installed with VFP, I can only assume that this is the case with VFP7.0 (and Andre seems to be using VFP7.0)

To answer the question "should I include MSCAL.OCX seperatly? How do I do this?" !
In the "specific application data" portion (the files part) of installshield, find the mscal.ocx in your windows/system32 directory (most likely), drag it to the destination computer folder, and on the right-hand side (bottom portion) right-mouse on the activex and in the avanced tab change the registration type to "self-registration".

Thank you all for your suggestions.

Mike: I was looking for "self registration"...Thanks for the tip!
