I have Esat BT Broadband and when i download the latest XP Hotfix it just disables my Broadband and wont allow me to connect(user name and password incorrect)

Any ideas?

And the Hotfix was?

The Hotfixes can be found and removed through Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.

Some "hide" so be sure to look at entries that begin with "Internet Explorer" as well as obvious Microsoft Hotfix(es).

And please see if the "fix" in this FAQ can help: faq779-4625

Thanks

i did remove it and it works fine again, but i would like to have the fix in place.

i have looked at your faq and it looks quite promising!

Cheers

If it is a Security Hotfix, I worry about just removing it. There is always a "workaround."

On my personal worksation I removed the November, 2003 Cumulative update for IE: "Security Update for Internet Explorer (Q824145)", but on my client machines I will not remove this Security patch unless a darn good argument is made.

All of the blaster/msblaster Hotfixes are absolutely critical to keep.
Expect in the next week, and next month some additional fixes to existing Security Hotfixes. And in a couple of months Service Pack 2 for XP.
