MS word XP Language changes after Captions

Hi

I have a few documents that are driving me mad....

When i insert a caption enter the text required, then start a new paragraph, the language keeps on changing to German in the spellchecker and i have to keep on resetting it.

i checked the styles and there's no mention of any German text in the formatting. Where can i look at this.

It only happens after a Caption is inserted...

Any ideas?
