MS Word Page Layout View and those darn "brackets"

You know, those "L" shaped things in every corner of a doc in Page Layout view? Is there any way to hide those "brackets" as my user is calling them? I can send a screenshot if my question is unclear. I have looked around the Tools -> Options, File -> Page Setup screens and haven't found anything.
Help?

Found my own answer - with the help of the original user. We googled it, and found this link:

For those that are wondering: these are crop Marks and they are due to having Asian Language Support active.
