I have an extremely simple web page that is built with an MS Word table so that it looks approximately like a normal web page (header row, table of contents column on left (No howling, please). The rest of the page is one large cell, width = 10.57".

I would like to paste another table in it that I created elsewhere. It is specified as 5.66" wide. When I paste it as a "nested table" the right margin or column width expands way beyond the right side of my screen. I can grab the right margin but I can't drag it back. The table and column measurements don't change after the paste.

If I choose "Fixed column width" from Table>Autofit, then change the column width (to 1" even) nothing changes.

Too strange for me to figure out!

BTW, I searched on "nested tables" "MS Only" Use="All words", and almost all of the results had nothing to do with MS Word, table, or nesting.?????

Thanks for your assistance.

I am not quite understanding. Is this a web page (HTML), or not? At first it sounds like it IS a web page, then the comment about looking like one. So... is it?
