I have a german windowsXP user who alone gets an error message when trying to create a MSWord object from within my application.

A translation of his message ( in German ) is

Error message: OLE error code 0x80040111: ClassFactory cannot supply requested class Line of code with error:

A has found an explanation for another application:-

There is insufficient permissions to create the ADO objects.

Can anyone tell me what steps to give my user to rectify the problem.

Thanks

Eric

Very standard - no one else gets this

Code:
 loWord = Createobject("word.application")
loDoc = loWord.documents.Add()

I'm not sure qhy you would get an error message the refers to an ADO problem. But I would suggest to reinstall word and see if that corrects the situation.

Thanks Mike,

I have suggested that to the user but he prefers not to - I guess he is the loser <G>

Another user got the same error on English PC. Reinstalling MSWord fixed his problem. German user is going to take the same action soon.

Many thanks
