I am working in a Word 2002 file and keep getting the folowing error:

"You are working without a word work file and memory is nearly full. Save your work."

When I hit "Ok" it then tells me that "a table in the document has become corrupted".

How do I get rid of this error?

Does this occur only with a specific file?

If yes, does the file in fact have a table, or not?

What OS are you using? Is there a ~WRDxxxx.tmp file in the doc and settings\username\local settings\temp folder?

Yes it is only occuring with one specific file and yes it has several tables.

The OS is Windows 2000 with Office XP.

There are a bunch of .tmp files in the
doc and settings\username\local settings\temp folder

OK, me too (Win2000 and Office XP). Close Word and delete all the temp files. A reboot may help too...hey it is Windows.

If it is just that one file, it most likely is not normal.dot.

Is the screwy file created from a template?

Do the tables link to data, either Access or Excel?
