Hi,
I am trying to find out if there is an end of life support for the MS Jet Engine. It is my understanding with the release of 2007 Microsoft Office, Access uses a new file type.

We are trying to figure out if we need a conversion program to convert our existing db's or we can continue using the Jet Engine until ....

Thanks

As far as I know official support is over. Yes, 2007 uses ACE and as of last I heard that is what they are going with in the future. As of right now you don't have to convert any databases. Jet/ACE is just how it read and has nothing to do with the actual structure of the database. As far as I've come across you can use ACE to read from anything jet could.
