I have recently loaded MS 2000 Server w/SP4 onto a new server and experiencing a long delay when it initially starts up. When I finally get to logon under the administrator, I use Task Manager and see that a process called MSDTC.EXE (MS Distributed Transaction Coordinator?) is utilizing over 98% of the CPU. It takes approximately 10-15 minutes then the process becomes idle and then the server will respond quickly but when the CPU is taken up by the MSDTC.EXE response is dead for trying anything such as just using Explorer.

Any one have any experiences with this?

Bruce
