Hi,
i have an Access 2000 db that works on my own desktop over the same network as that of the persons i developed the db for.It is a direct copy placed on the network but they have a "object has no control" problem is popping up.I was wondering what potentially is the problem.Cheers

This may or may not help but it's probably worth a shot. First, I've never heard of the "Object has no control" error so you might double check that to verify that's it. Second, when you make a copy of a database, the Reference Libraries do not get created with it so you might want to double check to make sure the libraries you need are available. To do that, you open any code module, new or existing, and go to Tools...References on on the Menu bar. The libraries that have a checkmark in the box are the ones available to the application. Make sure the original and the copy have identical libraries selected.

cheers for the reply,
"there is no object in this control" is the correct msg coming.I was wondering if anyone knows what this means. Thanks again.

It sounds like you are using an ActiveX control in a form and that maybe the other user has an older version of the control than what you installed. If you do a Google search on
"There is no Object in this Control"
you should get at least a few hits that are worth reading.
See if that points you in the right direction.
